Red House EXHIBITION THEMES FOR 2024

ALL 2-D and 3-D MEDIUMS ARE WELCOMED

NOTE: Wall art is not to exceed 1296 square inches, including the frame (outer frame size).  No easel frames, no exceptions.  There will also be a weight restriction of 25 lbs. maximum with the artist required to handle any piece over 15 lbs. 

To enter the Juried Show in July 2024, members must have participated in a minimum of two of the four shows from September 2023 to June 2024.  

March 15, 2024 to May 13, 2024 – Making Changes

Our first show in our new location, 101 Cherry Street, will emphasize how we have adapted “Making Changes.”  Growth occurs when we make changes.  When something is deconstructed and recreated with new energy and life, it’s an opportunity to evolve and transform.  In this process, some aspects are left behind while new concepts take their place.  Growth is universal and can be planned or spontaneous, inclusive or exclusive, material, spiritual, or social.  Take this challenge to break from old constructs and explore the previously unknown – the unawakened.  "If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we aren't really living." — Gail Sheehy.  All mediums are welcome.

Nature sings around us every day in every way. The call of the birds, the sigh of the wind, the gurgle of water and the croak of a frog. What do these sounds look like? The Juried Art Exhibition at our esteemed gallery is an exclusive celebration of artistic excellence, curated for our qualified members. This annual showcase invites our talented community of artists to submit their best works for discerning evaluation and acceptance by our juror. The rigorous selection process ensures that only the most exceptional pieces, representing diverse styles and mediums, grace our gallery. This juried event not only highlights the mastery of our members but also fosters a culture of artistic growth and appreciation within our vibrant community. It's a prestigious opportunity for artists to gain recognition and for art enthusiasts to immerse themselves in a curated collection of outstanding talent.

September 13, 2024 to November 11, 2024 – Symphony of Leaves
 

A leaf's structure, designed to absorb light and store food for the plant, serves as the inspiration. Begin your artwork with a leaf or leaves of your choice or explore the concept of a leaf (or leaves). Utilize the leaf (or leaves) as a creative tool to shape your pieces. You're free to incorporate various types of leaves from any plant or tree. Your artistic journey with the leaf (or leaves) is entirely open-ended. This exhibition celebrates the diverse directions artists can explore starting from a single focal point. Let your imagination flourish, flutter, and evolve. 

We welcome our new members at this show. New members will include anyone who has joined since September 2023.
