Nature Sings

Friday, May 17, 2024 - Monday, July 8, 2024

The theme, "Nature Sings," involves capturing the essence of nature's melodies and harmonies through your artistic expression.  Visually represent the sounds of nature, such as rustling leaves, chirping birds, flowing streams, or crashing waves. Experiment with different brushstrokes, textures, and color palettes to convey these auditory experiences on canvas.  Explore the vibrant world of wildlife and incorporate animals, birds, or insects into your artwork. Capture their movements, interactions, or habitats in a way that conveys the rhythm and vitality of nature.  Consider scenes that depict the beauty of natural landscapes such as forests, mountains, rivers, or meadows. Focus on portraying the serene and tranquil ambiance that resonates with the theme of nature's songs.  Incorporate symbolic elements of nature such as flowers, trees, or water bodies to convey deeper meanings or emotions. Use colors, shapes, and textures to evoke a sense of harmony and balance within your composition.  Don't be afraid to explore abstract interpretations of nature's songs. Experiment with shapes, patterns, and textures to create dynamic compositions that evoke the spirit of nature's melodies.  Infuse your artwork with personal experiences, memories, or emotions related to nature. Whether it's a favorite hiking trail, a peaceful retreat by the lake, or a memorable encounter with wildlife, let your connection to nature shine through in your paintings.

As part of the registration process you will be asked to submit a statement up to 50-words (300 characters), for each entry, explaining how your artwork relates to Nature Sings. This will be displayed in the gallery with your artwork.

Be sure to read the Exhibition Process and Standards before you register:
